Being a bit of an efficiency addict, I believe there’s always a better way to do things, so when I ran a recent Amazon KDP Select promotion to promote my newest Kindle book (a pretty cool thing to do to grow your list), I decided to up the ante a bit from the status quo… and boy did it work well.

Rather than just going for the run-of-the-mill, “toss out a few emails” promotion, I coupled the KDP promotion period with a contest featuring an Amazon Kindle HD giveaway. Here are the results, and the blueprint on how you can do it too.

The Official Self Published Book Marketing Plan

I remember when I finished my first book, a thriller called The Golden Crystal. I thought to myself, “this is it. I’ve done it. I wrote a book.” 

And while I was, technically, correct (the book was, after all, finished), I wasn’t even close to being able to launch it into the world.

As you know, finishing a book isn’t the same thing as launching a book. One is a singular, independent activity that takes nothing more than dedicated consistency and a few good ideas. The other takes much more planning, administration, organization, and careful oversight.

It also takes a lot of work.

…And that’s pretty much why authors don’t “launch” their books…

How to Hack Your Sleep   Sleep Less, Do More, Feel Better: Part 3In the first parts of this series, we talked about why using and recognizing our natural tendencies as sleep-deprived humans can help us get more sleep, feel better, and get more done. Mostly, it’s through the use of naps, specifically and purposefully optimized and placed at a point in our day that provide us the benefits of the different sleep cycles. Depending on what we need, or have going on in our lives, that means we can use naps to give us more productivity, a quick motivational or focus-booster, and even let us “have two days in one,” as one Winston Churchill was known to have said regarding naps!

In this post, we’ll talk about the last steps needed to successfully implement a sleep schedule that allows for naps, and we’ll look at what ways can help us get to sleep, stay asleep, and feel better after we awake.
